BENICIA, Calif. – Team Cobalt California finished 9th in the Grand-Am Cup’s
inaugural race at Miller Motor Sport Park this past weekend.  With one race to
go, only two points separate Chevrolet from leading in manufacturing points.

“We finally got the cars set-up where we wanted them,” Crew Chief Howard
Davis said. “We should be ready to bring the Manufacturers Trophy home for
Chevrolet at Virginia next month.”

With the help of General Motors Performance Division, car No. 48 driven by
team newcomers Brian O'Shaughnessy and Aaron Povoledo took the
checkered flag in 9th position securing much needed points for Team Cobalt.

Car No. 98, driven by veterans VJ Mirzayan and Paul Bonaccorsi, had an
unfortunate spin during the early laps that prematurely ended their race.

The team’s two Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged arrived in Salt Lake City
early to help publicize the newly opened Miller Motor Sport Park. The cars were
on display for the Salt Lake City media and public to view and enjoy.

“It was a wonderful experience for everyone,” Chief Operations Officer Jeff
Mishtawy said. “People stopped us at the track and said I saw you on television
this morning”.

Team Cobalt California’s next and last appearance of the season with be
Grand-Am Cup’s signature six-hour endurance race at Virginia International
Raceway Oct. 6-8.
