Enrique Gelpi
Driver
Enrique Gelpí Jr., started his career as a road race driver in 1985 when
car.  Although he had to use public transportation to go to college for
more than a year, in 1986 he got his first victory and decided that racing
was part of his life. Since then, he has earned 18 wins and four National
Championships in his country, Puerto Rico.   

His career highlights include a first place in GT-1 class in the Three
Hours of Puerto Rico race in 2002, a pole position and first place in the
Neon Challenge Invitational Cup at the Dominican Republic in 1999, a
victory in the Caribbean Pre-Grand Prix and another pole-position
followed by a win in the 1992 edition of the Bosch Cup.  He also
participated in the Daytona Test Days with Team Cobalt California in
January 2007.

Occupation:  Ph. D. in Philosophy and Science with a specialty in   
Clinical Psychology.
